Juma Hemedi - Chairperson

Juma Hemedi, holds a bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from Mt. Kenya University, a diploma in project management and advanced certificate in Business management from Kenya Institute of management. He is a life member of Kenya red cross society, Ajibika Africa and an associate member of Kenya Institute of management. He has over 22 years of work experience in training consultancy, humanitarian and civil society organizations and policy development.

He is the National vice chairman of NEFPAK, board member, director and Chairman of Board Audit Committee at Thika water and sewerage company and coordinates Ajibika Africa organization. his volunteer and humanitarian work spans over 16 years with Kenya Red Cross both locally and Internationally on a youth exchange program in Norway. He has served and continues to serve in many boards and committees in private and public bodies, charities, foundations, religious institutions and school boards.

Juma Hemedi is passionate about institutional governance, leadership, environment and the youth. As the first ever student/ football manager in Chania High School, he was instrumental in taking the first ever football team to the National school football competition in 1997.

Caroline Bwana - Vice Chairperson

Caroline Bwana, is an SAP Project Director currently spearheading the SAP ERP implementation at Rio Tinto, Guinea. She has extensive experience within the technology sector delivering strategic programs spanning Africa and Europe. She previously worked for SAP East Africa where she held senior executive positions that led the growth  and success of the Consulting business in East Africa

Caroline holds an MBA in Strategy Management from the United States International University and a Bachelor Degree in Commerce from the University of Pune. She is a member of the Project Management Institute of Kenya and a member of the KEPSA ICT Board .

She is passionate about successful delivery of digital transformation solutions and the impact they create in Africa.

Mungai Kihanya - Secretary
Mungai joined Chania High School in 1980 and left in 1983 after saucerful completion of the Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE). He holds a MSc in physics from the University of Dundee, Scotland and a BSc in Physics from the University of Leicester, England.
 
Mungai was a physics lecturer at Egerton University and is currently and independent management trainer. He is also well-known as the author “The World of Figures” – the long running column in the Sunday Nation newspaper.
James Macharia - Treasurer
James M. Macharia Holds a Master’s of Science Degree in Tax and Customs Administration (Moi University), Executive MBA (JKUAT), Bachelor of Commerce Accounting (CUEA), CPA(K) and Member of ICPAK, Diploma in Theology (PUEA) and ongoing Higher Diploma in Theology (PUEA)
Managing Partner -Niche Partners & Associates a Tax and Management consulting firm, Co-Director at Retail Worth Limited a Retail Consulting Firm. Currently serving in the Board of Nairobi Institute of Music and Performing Arts (NIMPA) and has previously served in other Boards; Nagoya Holdings, Retail Traders Association of Kenya (RETRAK). An ordained Presbyterian Church Elder currently serving at PCEA Zimmerman Parish, Nairobi North Presbytery.
Irene Mwangi - Organizing Secretary

Irene Wairimu Mwangi is an entrepreneur and financial management advisor running a successful Insurance Agency (CLEARWAYS INSURANCE AGENCY) besides her family business in real estate, hotel and farming.

She holds an MBA in Marketing, Bachelors of commerce (B. Com) Marketing from Kenyatta University (K.U). Diploma in Public Relation Management, Advanced Certificate in Business Management, all from Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), diploma in secretarial studies, Certificate of Proficiency (C.O.P) from College of Insurance.

She serves in the BOM of Gikindu girls secondary school, and chairs the discipline and integrity committee. She is currently the Parents Association representative at Mary Hill girls high school, chairlady of a Women investment group and is a member of the Association of Kenya Professional Insurance Agents and a member of Lions Club of Kilimambogo. She is a former deputy Chairperson of the Chania Girls high school BOM and She continues to serve in other corporates and community boards.

Irene is passionate about community economic empowerment, as well as youth mentorship.

Henry Macharia Kamau - Diaspora Co-ordinator
Macharia started his higher learning at the University of Nairobi and proceeded to the United States of America where he completed his studies in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Operations Management. 
He went on to work for various Fortune 500 companies before venturing into business and starting a Logistics & Transportation company, that has worn him various accolades including the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the State of Delaware. 
He is currently the Managing Director of Veetech Auto Care Ltd located in Ruiru and Global Consolidated Ltd. Former member of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers and the American Society of Quality
